CONCEPTUALIZING
We were given the prompt: a love letter to animation.
I was the lead storyboarder, however It would a big group collaboration for how the story would flow. Everyone took turns jotting down thumbnails on paper, but I did the official drawings and transferred it digitally to be compiled.
Alongside thumbs, once we got the basic storyline down, we worked simultaneously on the character design. We all contributed to features and simplification to make it easier on us, but Hayley Pike - our lead character designer and lead cleanup artist - made the finalized design.

We also referenced our previous character design, Trashcan, as a secondary character. Drawn by Hayley Pike.
Eventually I put together a color script for Liam Miller - our lead background artist - to follow along with after his initial sketches.
This was my initial idea, but I was given the note
to make the splash of color more vibrant.
My second color script I ended up scrapping because
it was too cool toned. I wanted a variety in colors.

I took on more shots than others, totalling to 11 seconds. I'm very happy with the amount of work I did in the short time we had for this challenge!
